J'khand HC serious over misuse of becon light
Ranchi, Nov 8 (UNI) Jharkhand High Court today directed the secretary of State Transport and Senior Superintendent of Police, to appear before it on November 16 and inform the actions taken for implementing the various orders passed by the court regarding illegal use of beacon lights on the vehicles.
A division bench comprising Chief Justice Muthusamy Karpagavinaygam and Justice Permod Kohli passed the order while hearing a writ petition filed by Anant Kumar.
Earlier the court had directed to take action against the erring officers of district transport offices for their lapses.
During the course of argument the court was informed by Manoj Tandon, lawyer appearing on behalf of the petitioner, that vehicles are still plying on the road using beacon lights without having registration numbers.
