Jeev Milkha Singh picked in Rest of World team for Goodwill Trophy
Shanghai, Nov 8 (UNI) Jeev Milkha Singh's scintillating form earned him a berth in the Rest of the World team for next week's Goodwill Trophy against Europe and the US.
South African Retief Goosen, captain of the side, selected Jeev, along with Aussie duo of Peter Senior and Paul Sheehan, for the prestigious event.
Colin Montgomerie will skipper an eight-man Europe and US team selected from the Ryder Cup countries in the inaugural matchplay contest scheduled at the Mission Hills Golf Club in Shenzhen Monday and Tuesday.
''With the announcement of Peter, Paul and Jeev as the final members of the team, I am confident that we will put up a very strong challenge for the Goodwill Trophy,'' Goosen said in a statement today.
''This innovative new event will definitely require a good blend of skill and experience and I am happy that this squad has these attributes in abundance,'' he added.
