Centre grants Rs 34.5 cr grant in aid to Tripura for PMGSY
New Delhi, Nov 8 (UNI) The Ministry of Rural Development has released an amount of Rs.34.50 crore Grants-in-aid to Tripura Rural Roads Development Agency for implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna in the state.
TRRDA, which is the agency authorised for the implementation of PMGSY in Tripura, will utilise the grant in the execution of the PMGSY in four districts namely Tripura West, Tripura South, Tripura North and Dhalai.
The Ministry has also released the first instalment of Grants-in-aid of Rs 5 crore to the National Rural Roads Development Agency (NRRDA) for the supporting PMGSY.
The NRRDA, registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 on January 14, 2002, extends operational and technical support to the Ministry in the execution of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana.
