Bala Devi hat-trick in India women's 4-0 win in AFC U-19 tourney

New Delhi, Nov 8 (UNI) A brilliant hat-trick by striker Bala Devi helped India blank Jordan 4-0 in their opening encounter in the qualification round of the AFC U-19 Women's Championship 2007 in Kuala Lumpur.

The other goal was scored by Lalvarmoi Hmar in the match yesterday.

India dominated the proceedings throughout the match and led 2-0 at half time, according to information received here.

India next play Myanmar tomorrow and face Singapore on November 11 and Thailand on November 15.

Top two teams from the five-team group will qualify for the AFC Under-19 Championship 2007.
