18 Bangla athletes to train in Tata infrastructure at Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Nov 8 (UNI) Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) has picked up 18 sportspersons who will hone their boxing, athletics and archery skills over a period of two months at the Tata Steel sports facilities here.

Eight archers, six boxers and four athletes would be accompanied by four officials and after the training, they would leave for the Doha Asian Games, according to a release here today.

The archers will also compete in the second Commonwealth Archery Championship being held here.

Tata Steel, which proposed a steel plant and a coal mine in Bangladesh, had signed a Memorandum of Understanding with BOA, and committed to train Bangladeshi sportspersons on an ongoing basis.
