Witness deposes in Monica case

Bhopal, Nov 7 (UNI) A local court today recorded the statement of a female witness who deposed in a fake passports case involving underworld don Abu Salem and his girlfriend Monica Bedi.

A resident of Gandhinagar, Tulsabai appeared as a witness for the prosecution before Chief Judicial Magistrate Dinesh Kumar Dangi.

Monica was also present amid tight security. Mr R K Motwani is the Public Prosecutor.

Defence Counsel P C Bedi objected to an accused Siraj being converted into a government witness. An argument is likely on this aspect at the next hearing on November 9 and 10.
