Police rounds up 12 persons for collecting money illegally

Kochi, Nov 7 (UNI) Police today rounded up 12 people for possessing illegal receipts for collecting money unauthorisedly from trucks and trailers at the Port here.

This follows the government's decision at a meeting yesterday, headed by State Industries Minister Elamaram Kareem and Labour Minister P K Gurudasan to stop all illegal collection of money from today.

Police said a strong police force, with the help of CISF was deployed to monitor the port area.
