Patiala, Nov 7 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh today stated that the Congress high command would decide on alloting party tickets for the next assembly elections to independent MLAs or former Akali MLAs who joined party.

''Every party member of the Congress party is entitled to seek party ticket and it is his right to do so, and this matter will be sorted out at the high command level and not at the state level'' he said while talking to mediapersons here.

''The Congress president Sonia Gandhi will have the final say in it matter,'' he added.

Mr Dullo had, on a number of occasions in recent months, stated that he was opposed to alloting tickets to those MLAs or Akalis who had joined the party in recent years.

Refering to reports in a section of the media that he was planning to shift from Patiala to the Kharar constituency in the next assembly polls, Capt Singh clarified that he had no intention of changing his seat. ''I will seek re-election from Patiala'' , he added.

When asked whether he would be projected as the chief ministerial candidate in the polls to be held in February, he replied ''Congress party has its own tradition and discusses such issues on party platform, the party high command and President Sonia Gandhi will decide on the name of the next chief minister''.
