By-election to Dungarpur Assembly seat on Dec 4

Jaipur, Nov 7 (UNI) The Election Commission of India today announced the by-election to the Dungarpur (ST) Assembly constituency on December 4.

The seat fell vacant follwing the death of Congress MLA Nathuram Ahari.

According to the schedule, the last date for filing nomination will be November 11. The scrutiny of nomination would take place on November 18. The last date for withdrawal of candidatures would be Novembr 20 while counting of votes would take place on December 7.

With the issue of the notification, the Model Code of Conduct came into force in the entire district and would remain in force till the completion of election process. The electronic voting machines would be used in the by-poll.
