BJP-SS alliance in 102 municipal councils

Mumbai, Nov 07 (UNI) The Shiv Sena-BJP alliance will contest the local bodies elections of 102 municipalities in Maharashtra while at 37 places BJP has formed a local front.

Announcing this at a press conference here today, BJP spokesman Madhav Bhandari said the party has fielded 1618 candidates for 3600 seats. In all, the elections of 167 municipal councils would take place this month. In 28 municipalities, there will be no alliance among the parties.

He said the party is contesting these elections on issues like clean city, water and roads.
