Woman creates flutter at HC Jubilee function
Hyderabad, Nov 4 (UNI) A woman, claiming that her two children were kidnapped, today urged Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee to render justice to her family.
The woman created a flutter when she 'shouted out' her grievance when the Speaker was addressing the concluding function of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the High Court in the city.
The woman K Sushila entered the venue of the function 'Ravindra Bharathi' where entry was open to public amidst tight security.
Chief minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, state Assembly Speaker K R Suresh Reddy and High Court Chief justice and other judges were also present there.
The woman suddenly appeared in front of the dais and made her verbal remarks to the Lok Sabha Speaker.
The police rushed to the dais and took her out of the audtorium.
City Police Commissioner A K Mahanty asked her for the details about her family and sent her to the police station for further enquiry.
Later, speaking to newspersons the woman, claiming that she was the wife of a bank official K Veerabhadram, who died in 2002, said her two daughters aged 16 and 25 were kidnapped at Guntur in November 2002. The district police did not take action even as she filed a Habeas Corpus petition in the court.
Stating that she was living on the pavements of the railway station in the city, Ms Sushila also claimed that the police were not helping her to trace her daughters since 2002.
