WB PCC delegation calls on Sonia Gandhi

New Delhi, Nov 4: A 15-member delegation of the West Bengal Pradesh Congress Committee, led by Mr Shubrito Mukherjee, today held a meeting with Congress President Sonia Gandhi for a new office-bearer of the PCC following the resignation of its president Pranab Mukherjee.

According to a spokesman, the delegation requested Ms Gandhi for a new team to be led by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Priyaranjan Dasmunsi as the other group, which has control over the PCC over the past 18 years, has failed to produce desired results.

Ms Gandhi assured the delegation that she would take immediate remedial measures after considering all viewpoints and arguments.
