Seven tibals abducted by villagers

Jagdalpur, Nov 4 (UNI) Seven tribals were today abducted by armed naxals near Kothiguda village in Chhattisgargh's tribal-dominated Dantewara district, police said.

Twelve tribals from Doranpal police relief camp had gone to fetch some necessary items when they were abducted by the ultras on gunpoint. Later, five were released.

Police had cordoned off the area and an intense search was being carried out to trace the abductees.

In a separate incident, priest Hira Singh was shot at and seriously injured by naxals at Kasawahi village in Narayanpur area.

He was admitted to hospital.
