MK's request to Lalu on bullet trains

Chennai, Nov 3 (UNI) Congratulating Union Railway Minister Lalu Prasad for the impressive financial performance of the Railways which was expected to earn Rs 20,000 crore profit by next year, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today said he could consider introducing the proposed bullet trains on the two important corridors of Chennai-Coimbatore and Chennai-Madurai.

In a letter to Mr Prasad, a copy of which was released to the press here, Mr Karunanidhi hoped the Union Minister would consider his proposal favourably and give the travelling public the benefit of bullet train services at the earliest.
