MDMK local body head hacked to death

Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu, Nov 4 (UNI) Rivalry in the recent local body elections in Tamil Nadu led to the murder of a panchayat president in the Villippuram District today.

According to police, S Rajendran (37) of the MDMK who won the post of the Kenippattu Panchayat President was hacked to death allegedly by rival candidate K Ezhumalai(35) of the PMK and 10 others hired by him at Kenippattu Village near Villippuram today.

Mylam police have registered a case.No arrests have been made so far.
