Main accused of Rampur arrested

Hajipur, Nov 4: Jagat Rai, the main accused in the Rampur Shyamchand massacre, was arrested from village Sukulpur under Deedarganj police station area of Patna district today.

According to police about 10 criminals, led by Jagat Rai, had attacked the house of Virandra Mahto on the night of December 31, 2005 at village Rampur Shyamchand in Vaishali district and had set ablaze six people. Virendra Mahto was away from his house and was saved.

Five other accused of the incident had already been arrested.
