Iranian film festival inaugurated in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Nov 4 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker K R Suresh Reddy has inaugurated a five-day 'Iranian Film Festival', being oragnised jointly by the Consulate General of Islamic Republic of Iran and Hyderabad Film Club in the city.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Reddy said yesterday that such film festivals would strengthen the relations and facilitate exchange of culture and traditions between the two countries. He noted that childrens' films were very important to promote education and entertainment and understand the relations between the two nations.

Consulate General Hossein Ravesh said cinema as the seventh art had an important role in the development of human beings desides entertainment. The film festival would create a cultural, artistic and friendly atmosphere to bring closer Iranian nationals domiciled here and students, with the people of the city.
