HC issues notice to BJP leader over collection of donation

Indore, Nov 4 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh High Court's Indore bench has issued notices to BJP legislator Babulal Mahajan, the state Chief Secretary, Khargone Collector and the 'Katha Ayojan Samiti' over the alleged use of government machinery to collect donation for organising 'katha'.

Hearing a petition filed by Khargone Congress Seva Dal's main organiser Hardeep Singh Bhatia and Manoj Barche, a Division Bench comprising Justices N K Modi and S K Kulshreshta gave the notice yesterday and sought reply within two weeks.

The petition alleged that government machinery was misused for collecting donation for organising 'katha' by Ramesh Bhai Ojha.

About Rs two crore donation was raised for the eight-day-long 'katha' that started on October 29.
