Groundnutseed, edible oil costlier; RBD Palmolein steady

Mumbai, Nov 4 (UNI) Prices of groundutseed and edible oil rose on lesser stock supply, while castorseed and its oil declined on thin buying support.

RBD Palmolein remained steady on moderate demand, traders at the Bombay Commodity Exchange said today.

Trading in the castorseed futures for December 2006 rose by Rs 51 and closed at Rs 1,871 per quintal on reduced stock supply.

Castorseed for February 2007 also went up by Rs 12 and closed at Rs 1,942 on increased demand.
