DCs asked to visit 2 hoblis every month
Mysore, Nov 4 (UNI) Karnataka Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms Principal Secretary R Suresh today instructed the Deputy Commissioners to visit two Hoblis every month to conduct mass contact programmes to redress people's grievances on the spot.
He was here to hold a meeting of district level officers on the instructions of the Chief Minister to tune up the district administration to improve its efficiency.
Later speaking to newspersons here, Mr Suresh said grievance boxes would be kept in all the village panchayat offices from December one to receive grievances from the public. Similar boxes would be kept at the offices of Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners and at mohalla offices in the city corporations. Such a system was functioning well in panchayats in Tumkur district, he pointed out.
He appealed to the people to take advantage of the public grievance meetings and utilise the facilities provided by the Government.
