BEML, BDL pay Rs 38.75 crore as dividend to Govt
New Delhi, Nov 4 (UNI) Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) and Bharat Dynamic Limited (BDL) paid dividend cheques for Rs 38.75 crore for the financial year 2005-06 to the government here today.
The cheques were handed over to Defence Minister A K Antony.
Mr V R S Natarajan, Chairman and Managing Director of BEML, handed over a cheque of Rs 15.75 crore, as the final dividend, against the government's 62 per cent share holding in the company.
Major General (Retd) Raajnish Gossain, Chairman and Managing Director, BDL, presented a dividend cheque of Rs 23 crore for the financial year 2005-06.
Minister of State for Defence M M Pallam Raju, MOS (Defence Production) Rao Inderjit Singh and Jt Secretary (Defence Production) K P Singh, were also present.
Mr Antony expressed satisfaction on the performance of the PSUs and complimented the employees for their efforts in raising companies' productivity.
