Ayodhya attack: Hearing posted to Nov 14
Faizabad, Nov 4: The five terrorists arrested in connection with the attack on the disputed Ram Janmabhoomi complex would now appear in court for hearing on November 14.
Public prosecutor O P Sinha said due to the local body polls, adequate security could not be provided to the accused, following which they failed to appear before the District Court Judge O P Shukla.
Meanwhile, 'Nyaymitra' Rajendra Kumar Tiwari refused to take up the case alleging he was not provided with security.
The court, however, sent a notice to him and wrote a letter to the High Court, saying if the terrorists were not provided with an immediate lawyer, the case would be transferred to some other district.
The terrorists Naseem Ahmed, Asif Iqbal, Shakil Ahad and Mohd Aziz were arrested in Jammu and Kashmir on July 14 and July 27 last year for providing arms and SIM cards to five terrorists, who stormed the Ram Janmabhoomi complex last year. They were, however, killed by security forces.
On July 22, Dr Irfan, a native of Saharanpur district of UP, was also nabbed for assisting the four accused arrested earlier.
