War-like stores seized near LoC in Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 3 (UNI) Troops seized a large cache of arms and ammunition near the Line of Control (LoC) in the frontier district of Kupwara today, a defence spokesman said.

On a specific information, he said troops conducted a search operation near Pharkiyan Gali along the LoC this morning.

During the operation, troops seized an AK rifle, five magazines, 110 ammunition rounds, one wireless set, two rocket propelled grenades, two boosters for rocket propelled grenades, three under barrel grenade launcher shells, one hand grenade, one 7 kg explosive device, one improvised explosive device switch and a detonator.

The arms were wrapped in a polythene and dumped near a nullah under thick foliage, the spokesman said, adding that with the recovery of such huge war-like stores, the militants had got a setback in carrying out anti-national activities.
