TDP demands white paper on SEZs

Hyderabad, Nov 3 (UNI) Alleging 'irregularities' in the allotment of land for Special Economic Zones(SEZ), the main opposition Telugu Desam Party today demanded the Congress Government in Andhra Pradesh come out with a white paper on the SEZs.

Addressing a press conference here, TDP Parliamentary Party leader K Yerran Naidu wanted the government to make public the firms to which land for setting up SEZs had been allotted and their antecedents.

Claiming that crores of rupees had changed hands in connection with allotment of lands for SEZs, TDP MP R Chandrasekar Rao said the scam was several times bigger than the Bofors that brought down the Rajiv Gandhi Government.
