STOCKS NEWS ASIA-Asian ADRs edge up; UMC, BHP rise

HONG KONG, Nov 3 (Reuters) Asian stocks listed on Wall Street <.bkas> edged 0.19 percent higher as global miner BHP Billiton and Taiwan's contract chip maker UMC gained ground.

But U.S. stocks eased on Thursday after productivity and labour cost data raised worries about inflation and slower growth. The market was further pressured by disappointing sales forecast from Wal-Mart Stores Inc. .

The Dow <.dji> slipped 0.10 percent, its fifth straight down session, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite Index <.ixic> lost 0.01 percent.
