Silver cache found in unclaimed building

The district administration decided on the demolition after the structure caught fire on October 27. While the demolition was in progress, about a quintal of silver pieces, sticks and coins including those from the Victorian era were found on October 31 and estimated to cost Rs 17 lakh.
The building's owner Motilal Soni was slain by unidentified ruffians a few years back. Even at that time, the police seized Rs 7 lakh and more than 1.5 quintals of silver besides 1.75 kg gold. A police force has been stationed around the building.
