Rain in MP, lightning kills 7
Bhopal, Nov 3 (UNI) Isolated thundershowers are lashing Madhya Pradesh for the past few days even as seven persons were fatally struck by lightning over the past three days.
''The precipitation is being caused by cyclonic circulation over the state and moisture from the Arabian Sea. Overnight rain was recorded at Rewa, Jabalpur, Sagar, Hoshangabad and Gwalior divisions,'' said a Regional Meteorological Centre spokesman.
The break-up of lightning-linked fatalities was three each in Umaria and Shajapur besides one in Shahdol. About five persons were injured.
Isolated thundershowers are likely in Bhopal, Hoshangabad, Gwalior, Chambal, Jabalpur, Sagar and Rewa divisions over the next 24 hours.
