National Twenty20 in Jan next year

Lucknow, Nov 3 (UNI) The Under-17 and Under-15 National Twenty20 Cricket Championships will be held in Uttar Pradesh during January-Feburary next year.

Secretary Lucknow Twenty20 Cricket Association Liyakat Hasan said here the championships would be played at Kanpur, Allahabad, Varanasi, Agra, Lucknow and Meerut.

Hasan disclosed that in the forthcoming Under-19 National Cricket Championship for 'Board Trophy' -- to be played from November 12 at Chandigarh -- UP take on Haryana on the same day, while November 15 is reserved against Saurashtra team.

A total of 24 teams would parpticipate in the event and the matches will be played at Chandigarh and Panchkula. The championship will be played with white ball and coloured dresses.

The state team will leave for Chandigarh on November 10 after a two-day coaching camp starting November 9.
