NAQAS celebrates 46th anniversary
Kochi, Nov 3 (UNI)The Naval Aeronautical Quality Assurance Service (NAQAS) celebrated its 46th anniversary here today.
Rear Admiral MP Muralidharan, Flag Officer Sea Training, inaugurated the celebrations by lighting the traditional lamp.
Established in 1960 as the Naval Aeronautical Inspection Service (NAIS) to provide independent regulatory and inspection coverage for entire naval aviation, the organization was later renamed Naval Aeronautical Quality Assurance Service with four Regional centres at Mumbai, Goa, Visakhapatnam and Arakkonam.
NAQAS provides calibration and laboratory support to all Naval aviation field units for calibration of equipment and testing of fuel, oil and lubricants.
