Marriott launches its flaship brand in Hyderabad
Hyderabad, Nov 3 (UNI) The Marriott Group of Hotels announced the opening of its sixth property in India - The Hyderabad Marriott.
Mr Phillip Spencer, General Manager, Hyderabad Marriott told the media here today that having already established some very successful hotels across the country, Marriott Hyderabad was the first flagship brand that Marriott is opening in the country.
Located opposite the famous Hussain Sagar Lake, the sprawling property comprising 297 rooms including 13 suites, was refurbished at Rs 60 crore. The hotel would be officially opened to the public after renovation on November four.
As it planed to attract the discerning business traveller, the refurburishment encompasses a rich blend of modern and contemporary interiors with a touch of traditional elements.
The hotel would offer Hyderabad cuisine of international standards with its cutting edge Food&Beverage options. Styled and named on the famous and world-class ''Bidri'' handwork, it would have first up market, premium and modern 24-hour coffee shop.
Marriott manages three properties at Mumbai--JW Marriott, Rennaisance and Marriott Executive Apartments, International Marriott at Goa and Marriott Courtyard at Chennai.
Marriott had a tie up with Viceroy Hotels to manage the hotel here. It also planned to develop another 200 rooms in the vicinity and Marriott Courtyard was likely to be ready by 2008-2009. As Viceroy Hotels plans to develop properties at Chennai and Bangalore Marriott would also be there, he added.
