Manipur government to check misuse of office premises

Imphal, Nov 3 (UNI) The Manipur government has decided to stop misuse of government offices by officials and private parties.

Several instances have been noted, where the premises belonging to offices or institutions of the state and Central government have been used and directed against bonafide policies or laws, State Chief Secretary Jarnail Singh said today.

Premises of the state and central government (including those financially assisted) are primarily meant for bonafide official use and while there may be no objection to their usage by private parties for socio-cultural and educational purposes and it should be ensured that they are not allowed to be used as a platform against the government by the "anti-socials", he said.

Heads of all offices and institutions should therefore ensure a proper scrutiny of the organisers providing facilities for usage, he said.
