Man throws acid on wife

Lucknow, Nov 3 (UNI) A woman today suffered grievous burn injuries after her husband allegedly tossed acid on her in Kaisergagh area here.

Police said a teacher by profession, Nazreen of Ghasiari Mandi locality in Kaiserbagh was married off to Meeraj in 2001. However, the couple soon developed differences over marital issues.

This morning, when she was on way to school, Meeraj threw acid on her and escaped.

Nazreen was taken to Balrampur Hospital in a critical condition.

A case has been registered.
