Major haul of explosives

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Nov 3 (UNI) In a major haul of explosives, police today seized 20 kg of ammonium nitrate, 18 gelatin sticks and 18 detonators from the possession of a labourer near Waluj MIDC area.

Acting on a tip-off, the Anti-Terrorist Cell (ATC) laid a trap near A S Club on Waluj MIDC road this evening and apprehended Jaivant Laxman Ambore (35), a resident of Tisgaon, about 5 km from the city.

City police sources said Ambore claimed that someone had given him the explosives to be handed over to another villager in Tisgaon.

However, he did not know the identity of the man, who gave him the explosives, the sources added.
