La Opala posts 13.08% growth in profit at Rs 2.14 cr for H1
New Delhi, Nov 3 (UNI) Glass manufacturers, La Opala RG Ltd, today said it has registered a 13.08 per cent growth in its net profit at Rs 2.14 crore for the half year ended September 2006, as against Rs 1.86 registered in the same period last year.
The total revenue for the period also rose to Rs 25.21 crore, as compared to Rs 19.87 crore in the previous year.
La Opala is a consistent dividend paying company since March 1991 and has free reserves of Rs 29.78 crore.
Besides, the work in the company's new plant at Sitarganj, Uttaranchal is proceeding as per schedule and is likely to commence production from April 2007.
La Opala specialises in the manufacturing of opal glass tableware and commands an over 24 per cent market share in hand cut lead crystal glassware.
The company is the highest exporter of glass tableware in the country and is currently exporting to more than 20 countries including US, UK, France and many other developed countries.
