It's one of the best innings I've played: Gayle
Jaipur, Nov 3 (UNI) After single-handedly eliminating South Africa from the ICC Champions Trophy, Man of the Match Chris Gayle said the 133-run knock was one of the best he has ever played in his career.
''It is certainly one of the best that I have ever played. It's up there with top four or five of them,'' Gayle said after the match last night.
''I think the wicket was very good. I got a start and carried on, something which I've been trying to do of late,'' Gayle said.
On Sunday's final against Australia, Gayle said there was an unfinished business to do.
''Yes we've an unfinished business against Australia. They've beaten us in the Malaysia final. It would be nice to come on top against them here in the final,'' he said, but also added that the task would be challenging and he was prepared for that.
''It would be tough but I Iove challenges. Wherever there's a challenge, you can call me over there,'' he said.
On his on-field antics, Gayle said he did ''ridiculous'' things sometimes to lift up his mood.
''I'm a very moody guy. And sometimes I do ridiculous things or crack a joke at someone to lift my mood up,'' he said.
Gayle has so far topscored with 434 runs with three centuries in the trophy and is leading the race for the man of tournament award.
