Hearing against B I S Chahal in contempt case on Nov 10
Chandigarh, Nov 3 (UNI) The hearing by the full bench of the Punjab and Haryana High Court on the issue of contempt of court against B I S Chahal, the Punjab Chief Minister's media advisor in context of the alleged attempt to interfere with the judicial process, has now been deferred to November ten.
This was done as the acting Chief Justice Surinder Singh Nijjar was not holding the court today.
Justices Surya Kant and Rajive Bhalla are the other members of the full bench.
The matter has arisen from the proceedings pertaining to selection and appointment of some persons, including respondent Chahal's son, directly as DSP in the Punjab police. The bench had quashed the selection and appointments on conclusion of the PIL filed in this respect.
