Grand 'yajna' in Ayodhya on Nov 6 for Ram temple
Ayodhya, Nov 3 (UNI) Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) is organising a grand 'yajna' at the Karsewakpuram here on November 6 seeking divine intervention for the construction of Ram temple.
Uttar Pradesh VHP unit media in charge Sharad Sharma said here today, a large number of Hindu saints, seers, priests and devotees would participate in the rituals associated with the 'yajna'.
The recitation of 'Sunderkand' (Part of epic Ramayan) would also take place, besides the 'maha arti' entailing 'deep daan' of 1,008 earthen diyas on the banks of holy river Saryu.
The ceremony is being held for the mitigation of all hurdles in the way of the Ram temple.
Top VHP office-bearers including Parishad president Ashok Singhal, Champak Rai and Rajendra Singh 'Pankaj', besides Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas president Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, Mahant Kaushal Kishore Das, Mahant Siya Kishori Sharan and Dr Ram Vilas Das Vedanti would participate in the programme.
