GM India October sales up by 12 pc

Mumbai, Nov 3 (UNI) General Motors India has registered a 12 per cent growth in sales at 3,153 units in October this year as compared to 2,829 units during the corresponding period last year.

The October sales comprise of 2,011 units of Chevrolet Tavera, 902 units of Chevrolet Aveo and 240 units of Chevrolet Optra, said a GM release.

GM India sales during the January to October 2006 period were 30,686 units as compared to 26,371 units during the same period last year, registering a growth of over 16 per cent, the release added.
