Four youths drown in Brahmaputra, bodies untraced
Guwahati, Nov 3 (UNI) The bodies of four youths, feared drowned in the Brahmaputra river last afternoon, remained untraced today.
Police informed that the four bodies were yet to be located and the victims were feared dead now.
In a tragic incident, four students of a local secondary school went missing when they had gone out for a bath in the river near the Umananda temple.
They had gone to visit the temple situated on an island near the city and had proceeded for a dip.
Another friend of the missing boys, who had accompanied them, had managed to get out of the river before being washed away.
All the victims were from outside Guwahati and were staying at hostel here.
