Flood relief within one week, says minister

Bhopal, Nov 3 (UNI) Revenue Minister Kamal Patel today assured the Madhya Pradesh Assembly that financial assistance to the victims of flood and heavy rains in the state capital would be distributed within a week.

He said assistance had already been distributed to 62,000 families affected by heavy rains on the night of August 13 and denied any corruption in relief work.

Mr Arif Aqueel(Cong), who raised the issue through a call attention notice, alleged relief was distributed in a partisan manner and said many affected were left out in the survey.

Mr Patel also assured to look into all complaints within a month.
