Fashion designer Prasad Bidappa's wife surrenders

Bangalore, Nov 3 (UNI) Fashion designer Prasad Bidappa's wife Judie Bidappa, absconding after a case was filed against her for allegedly abusing a police officer, surrendered before the police here today.

After she surrendered, the Ashok Nagar police arrested her and released her upon furnishing a personal bond.

The designer's son Adam Biddappa had been arrested by the police last month on the charge of assaulting policemen on duty outside a city pub. Ms Biddappa, who allegedly abused policemen in the police station when she went to see her son in the lock up, was absconding.

She had been granted a conditional anticipatory bail by a city court recently.

Meanwhile, Adam Bidappa, who was out on bail, visited the police station as per the directions of the court.
