Dileep wins Sathyan Award

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 3 (UNI) Malayalam Actor Dileep has been selected for the Sathyan Award 2006 in recognition of his contribution to the film industry.

The award carrying a cash prize of Rs 10,001, a citation and a plaque will be presented to him here on November ten, Jury Chairman Thulasidas told reporters.

A three-member committee with Mr Thulasidas as its Chairman and Mannarakkayam Baby and Santhivila Dinesh selected Dileep for the award.

Announcing this, Mr Thulasidas said as an actor Dileep had established his presence within a short period in the Malayalam film industry with brilliant performance in giving life to various characters.
