Chandigarh Adm to provide interim relief to employees

Chandigarh, Nov 3 (UNI) The Chandigarh Administration has decided to grant interim relief at the rate of five percent of pay/pension (including dearness pay/dearness pension) with effect from November 1 to the employees of the Union Territory of Chandigarh on Punjab pattern, an official release here today stated.

The interim relief will be treated as pay for all intents and purposes.Amount of interim relief will be absorbed in the pay revision to be allowed by the government of Punjab on the recommendations of the 5th Punjab Pay Commission.

It has also been decided to enhance fixed medical allowance from Rs 250 in respect of UT employees and pensioners/family pensioners from November one.
