CBI SP involved in AHM enquiry transfered under Lalu pressure:BJP

Ranchi, Nov 3 (UNI) Accusing the UPA government at the Centre of "favouring" Rail Minister Lalu Prasad by transferring CBI SP R C Choudhary, in-charge of investigation into the multi crore rupee animal husbandary scam cell in Jharkhand, the BJP today said it would launch a statewide agitation protesting his transfer.

State party president Yadunath Pandey in a release here today alleged that Mr Choudhary was transfered under pressure to save Mr Lalu Prasad, a main accused in the multi crore rupee fodder scam.

Mr Pandey said effort to save the people involved in the animal husbandry scam would not materialise, adding a special party meeting had been called to discuss the issue and a statewide agitation strategy would be formed.

Mr Choudhary was transfered to Delhi last month.

The matter came to light after mr Choudhary opted for voluntary retirement.
