Businessman's house burgled

Puducherry,Nov 3 (UNI) Burglars entered into a house at Ariyankuppam near here last night and decamped with properties worth over Rs.One lakh including 13 sovergins of gold ornaments.

According to police,A.Kumar,a business man and his wife Nalina were away in Chennai for about for months as Nalina was sick and receiving treatment in a private hospital there. Kumar used to vist the house some times and when he came today,he found the backdoor broken open and the properties missing.

Ariyankuppam police registered a case and are investigating.

Meanwhile,a white Ambassador car parked on the Chinna Subbrayapillai street created panic among the residents.The white car was parked for the last four days and nobody came to take it.

The residents informed the police who seized the vehicle and broke open the door. However,nothing could be found in the car which was later handed over to the office of the additional district magistrate.Police are enquiring to find out whether it was a stolen vehicle.
