BoM bags award for its subsidy scheme of solar water heating

Mumbai, Nov 3 (UNI) Bank of Maharashtra (BoM) has bagged the 'Best Bank Award' for implementation of the Interest subsidy scheme of 'Solar Water Heating Systems' for 2005-06.

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has been implementing the scheme for providing soft loans to users of solar water heating system through Banks/Financial institutions. Bank of Maharashtra has been implementing the scheme for several years and has been selected for an Award of best performing Bank, a bank's release here today said.

Executive Director of the bank, Rajeev Madhok received the award at the hands of Vilas Muttemwar, Union Minister, Union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy in a function which was held in New Delhi yesterday.
