Birla Kennametal Q2 net up 255 pc

New Delhi, Nov 3 (UNI) Birla Kennametal Ltd, a Yash Birla Group company engaged in the manufacture of rotating tools, today posted a whopping 255 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs 162.75 lakh for the second quarter ended September 30, 2006, as against Rs 45.85 lakh during the corresponding period last year.

The company's net sales jumped to Rs 617.01 lakh as compared to Rs 349.28 lakh in Q2 FY06.

Birla Kennametal is ensaged in manufacturing wide range of precision AT3 Class Steep Taper as well as HSK tooling at their manufacturing facility at Aurangabad, which started the commercial production in January 1989.
