Bangalore men, Delhi women champs
Mumbai, Nov 3 (UNI) Bangalore clinched the men's title, while Delhi bagged the women's crown in a thrilling way, in the All India Inter Zonal Inter University Badminton Tournament, organised by K C College, at the University Pavilion here today.
Bangalore ruined Delhi's party following a pulsating 3-2 victory in the men's final.
Delhi overcame formidable Mumbai 2-1 in a thrilling women's final. The dependable Sonal More gave Mumbai a dream start when she beat Mohita 21-11, 11-21, 21-12 in the opening tie. But Mumbai squandered the lead when More and Jui Agaskar were shocked in the following doubles.
Inspired by the comeback, Delhi's Chitralekha rattled Agaskar in the deciding singles with an impressive 21-17, 21-11 win.

Amar bt Rajeev Bajaj 21-23, 22-20, 21-15; Shashank Shastri/BS Phalgun lost to Bajaj/Sharma 14-21, 14-21; Shashank Acher lost to Gauravanshu 21-18, 13-21, 18-21; Amar/Kamath bt Jitendra Jain/Gauravanshu 21-10, 21-11).
Semi-finals: Delhi bt Mumbai 3-1; Bangalore bt Annamalai Univ 3-0.
Women's Final: Delhi bt Mumbai 2-1 (Sonal More bt Mohita 21-11, 11-21, 21-12; Gauri/Mohita bt More/Jui Agaskar 21-18, 21-13; Chitralekha bt Agaskar 21-17, 21-11).
Semi-finals: Mumbai bt Chandigarh 2-0; Delhi bt Pune 2-1.
