ACC despatches for October 2006 at 1.64 mt

Mumbai, Nov 03 (UNI) Cement major ACC has for the month of October 2006 registered 1.64 million tons as compared to 1.51 million tons in the comparable month of last year.

Announcing this, the company said during the month under review it produced cement upto 1.66 million tons as against 1.49 million tons in October 2005.

Cumulative dispatches of cement for January - October 2006 period stood at 15.45 million tons as compared to 14.39 million tons in the comparable period of last year, while production of cement cumulatively stood at 15.45 million tons as against 14.34 million tons in January - October 2005 period.
