10 killed as trawler-tempo collision in Udaipur

Udaipur, Nov 3 (UNI) At least 10 people were killed and 13 injured when a trailer hit a tempo on the Udaipur-Chittorgarh highway today afternoon.

According to police, the accident occured near the Kir ki Chowki under Kheroda police station area in Udaipur district.The trawler was travelling from Udaipur to Chittorgarh while the tempo was going from Bhinder to Udaipur.

Five people died on the spot while four people died on the way to hospital. One of them died while undergoing treatment in the hospital.

Three out of the 13 injured are in serious condition and have been admitted to Maharana Bhupal hospital here.

The tempo passengers were reportedly returning after attending a death ceremony of a relative. They belonged to Chowkri village.
